Professional Biography
Quintin Sykes, Vice President in Hitachi Consulting’s U.S. Financial Services practice, has 24 years of operations and technology experience in financial services companies. Hitachi Consulting’s U.S. Financial Services practice provides services to large financial institutions globally including:
- Core, Delivery, and Business Application Selection and Implementation
- Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Design/Selection and Integration, Analytics
- Technology Strategy
- Payments/Channel Strategy
- Delivery and Business Application Strategy
- Bank and/or Line of Business Strategy
- Merger Integration
- Business Process Improvement
Previously, Quintin was Managing Director of the Technology Services practice of Cornerstone Advisors, Inc., providing bank and credit union clients throughout the U.S. with advisory services including technology and delivery channel assessment, planning and benchmarking.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, Quintin served as EVP/CIO of The South Financial Group, a $14 billion financial services company based in South Carolina with corporate-wide responsibilities including software acquisition, development, and support, project management, technology governance and planning, and technology infrastructure. Prior to serving as Chief Information Officer, Quintin served as Director of Strategic Initiatives, Director of Item Processing, and Manager of Technology Ventures.
Before rejoining The South Financial Group, Quintin was a Principal Consultant in the Financial Services Industry Practice of Price Waterhouse LLP. In this capacity, Quintin managed information technology implementation and merger integration efforts for clients in the commercial banking and investment banking sectors. Prior to joining Price Waterhouse LLP, Quintin was responsible for acquisition-related conversion activities and item processing system support for Carolina First Bank, predecessor to The South Financial Group.
Quintin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He resides in Columbia, SC with his wife Jennifer and five daughters.
