I'm Quintin Sykes and this is my personal blog. In addition to chasing five daughters around I am managing director of Cornerstone Advisors' Technology Services practice.
Professional Biography
Quintin Sykes, Managing Director of Cornerstone Advisors’ Technology Services practice, has over 20 years of operations and technology experience in financial services companies. Cornerstone’s Technology Services practice provides technology assessment, strategic technology planning, technology spending and staffing benchmarking, and information technology advisory services to banks and credit unions throughout the United States. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Quintin was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of The South Financial Group. His corporate-wide responsibilities included software acquisition, development and support, technology project management, technology relationship management, technology strategic planning, network and data center operations, PC/LAN/WAN/help desk operations, and management of the Internet delivery channel. Also while with The South Financial Group, Quintin served as Director of Strategic Initiatives, Director of Item Processing, and Manager of Technology Ventures.
Before rejoining The South Financial Group, Quintin was a Principal Consultant in the Financial Services Industry Practice of Price Waterhouse LLP. In this capacity, Quintin managed information technology implementation and merger integration efforts for clients in the commercial banking and investment banking sectors. Prior to joining Price Waterhouse LLP, Quintin was responsible for acquisition-related conversion activities and item processing system support for Carolina First Bank, predecessor to The South Financial Group.
Quintin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He resides in Columbia, SC with his wife Jennifer and five daughters.
